Gender affirmation, also known as sex reassignment surgery, is a complex and serious process that involves altering both the primary and secondary sexual characteristics, performed by a plastic surgeon.
The term “sex change” is incorrect and entirely inappropriate. Its use here is deliberate, solely for the purpose of improving the page’s readability for search engines, and holds no medical, ethical, or other significance.

In order to adapt male body proportions to those of women, we use the technique of liposuction and lipofilling in the areas where it is needed. As an example, we will mention local fat, which in male bodies is stored mainly in the abdominal area, while in women in the buttocks area. With the technique of lipofilling, we can reverse these proportions, in order to obtain the desired result.
Genital reassignment
In the case of the genitals, the technique is chosen with the aim of ensuring a new vagina with depth, width and natural lubrication, while maintaining sensitivity and the ability to orgasm. This operation is a complex procedure, where orchiectomy and removal of the corpora cavernosa are performed, inversion of the skin of the penis, separation of the glans into two stems, one for the formation of the clitoris, and one for the creation of the posterior wall of the vagina and the formation of a wide entrance to the vagina, with a feminine appearance.
The advantage of this method is that sexual intercourse is possible without the use of lubricant, while the entrance of the penis is not obstructed by erectile tissue, which may swell in other techniques. Recovery after the operation lasts about 2 months, where close monitoring and dilation of the new vagina with dummies are required.

Breast masculinization
The removal of the breast is done using a technique similar to breast reduction and additional liposuction is performed to correct any imperfections. In individuals who undergo this surgery, hormone therapy has usually been performed beforehand and the breast shows atrophy and sagging.

This technique is superior to taking a flap from the forearm, because the secondary defect is sutured directly, without large scars. It also does not require microsurgical anastomosis, which increases the risk of complications.
This flap, in combination with the use of an erection device with a pump, is also functional, ensuring the best possible aesthetic result.
